As an Herbalist I view "tonic" herbs as nutritive herbs, their actions unpredictable because a persons needs and deficiencies are unpredictable. I am of the mind set that presenting the body with vital life force and diverse nutrients from the plant kingdom the body then has the ability to self-correct and heal. The intelligence of the plant can supersede the documented chemical constituents of the plant. In plant spirit medicine practices, deeply communicated with the plant before harvesting & during medicine making gives the intelligence of the plant a chance to work with you. If the plant knows who or what it is needed for and agrees to be used in a healing, the plant can biochemically adjust to fit the needs of the person who is in need. It is the same at the other end of the tonic taking spectrum, if the person consuming the plant meditates on their personal needs, the body can ingest vital life force and nutrients from the plant and biochemically transform the chemical constituents into other needed nutrients. This was one of the great debates between Bechamp & Pasteur. I believe Gabriel Cousin talks about this in Rainbow Nutrition as well. Everything is energy and with the proper consciousness anything is possible. That is why alchemically prepared tonics are more powerful than other herbal tonics because they speak to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies, not just the biochemical! What an amazing musing. I tried some of the drops of different formulas last night at the Bioneers conference, and like everyone else huddling around the booth, I am fully hooked. I really can't wait to try different formulas, and attend the next conference or workshop that you will be at. I would love to stay connected to others in my areas who are also aware of these formulas, for sharing of notes, and experiences. wow! What an amazing musing.
